Founding Member of White Supremacist Organization, European Kindred (EK) Gang, Scheduled for Trial in Federal Court After Entry of Not Guilty Plea
Metro Gang Task Force Investigation Results in
Two Portland Residents Charged with Federal Firearms Crimes
Portland, Ore. - David Patrick Kennedy, 40, and Christina Marie Allen, 29, both of
Portland appeared before U.S. Magistrate Paul Papek on an indictment charging the crime of
selling a firearm to a known felon. Defendant Allen also appeared on a charge of ex-convict in possession of a firearm.
During the arraignment today before Magistrate Paul Papak it was revealed that Kennedy
is the founding member of the European Kindred gang (“EK”) which is a white supremacist organization. Both of the defendants pled not guilty and were assigned a trial date of October 7, 2008, before U.S. District Judge Michael W. Mosman. Allen was released from custody and
Kennedy was detained pending a formal detention hearing scheduled on August 8, 2008. This
case was investigated by the Metro Gang Task Force which consists of agents and officers from
the FBI, ATF, Portland Police Bureau, Vancouver Police Department, Gresham Police
Department, Milwaukie Police Department, Beaverton Police Department and the Hillsboro Police Department. The East Metro Gang Enforcement Team, the Portland Police Bureau
Intelligence Division and the Oregon Department of Corrections also assisted in this investigation.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. An indictment is only an
accusation of a crime, and a defendant should be presumed innocent unless and until proven
guilty. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Fred Weinhouse.
