Washington Mutual Bank Robbery

A Washington Mutual Bank branch within the Fred Meyer retail store located at 3030 NE Weilder Street, Portland, Oregon was robbed this morning at approximately 10:35 a.m. by two individuals. One suspect was detained by the Portland Police Bureau at the crime scene, while investigations into the identity and capture of the second suspect continue.

Initial findings indicate that during the robbery, one suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a teller, while the second suspect remained outside the store. A dye pack hidden within the money taken activated and emitted a pink colored dye. There were no reports of a weapon used during the robbery.
