FBI Needs Public's Help Identifying "Mullet Man" Bank Robber

The FBI is asking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man responsible for two bank robberies and three attempted bank robberies in the Portland-Vancouver metro area just this week. The man, nicknamed “Mullet Man'” attempted his first robbery in Portland on Monday. Investigators believe he is responsible for:

  • 10/6/08 -- Key Bank, 1205 NE 102nd Ave., Portland (ATTEMPT)
  • 10/6/08 – Wells Fargo, 18975 SW Martinazzi, Tualatin (ROBBERY)
  • 10/8/08 – Bank of America, 409 Chkalov Dr., Vancouver (ATTEMPT)
  • 10/8/08 – IBEW Federal Credit Union, 9955 SE Washington, Portland;  (POSSIBLE ATTEMPT)
  • 10/8/08 – Fred Meyer Employee Credit Union, 12001 SE Morrison, Portland (ROBBERY)

In several of the robberies or attempts, including the Key Bank in Portland and the Bank of America in Vancouver, he wore what looks like a long-haired wig. Witnesses describe him as:

White man
Age:  Mid-40’s
Build:  Slender
Height:  5’9”
Weight:  160 pounds

On several occasions, he wore a blue Nike baseball cap as well.
