Electronic Billboards in Salem Used to Search for Bank Robber
Salem Police Release New Pictures

For the first time in Oregon, the local FBI office has partnered with Lamar Advertising in an effort to track down fugitives. Lamar is using its electronic billboards in Salem to help the FBI publicize the need for the community's help in identifying two men who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Tuesday. The FBI's wanted poster is rotating with Lamar's regular advertising on four billboads at three locations:

  1. 2973 12th Street SE, Salem
  2. Commercial Street SE near the intersection with Vista
  3. Commercial Street near Kuebler

During the take-over style robbery on Tuesday, the men entered the bank, ordered everyone to the ground while displaying weapons, and demanded cash. They left the bank in a stolen car that was recovered several blocks away.

These men are believed to be the same ones responsible for a take-over style bank robbery at the same Wells Fargo branch on May 30, 2008. The should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

As part of the joint investigation with the Salem Police Department, agents and detectives are also releasing several new photos in an effort to generate tips from the public. Two of the photos show a woman outside the bank at the time of the robbery. She appears to have dark wavy or curly hair tied back. She is wearing jeans tucked into boots, and a grey sweatshirt with a lighter-colored hood and a light-colored emblem on the front. The FBI and Salem Police would like to identify and interview this female as a potential witness to the robbery.

The second set of photos show the stolen car used by the robbers as a get-away vehicle. The car, a 1991 light blue Oldsmobile, was stolen from near the area of I-5 and SW Corbett in Portland on January 12. Investigators would like to talk to anyone who may have seen the vehicle from 4 p.m. on January 12 until 10 a.m. on January 13.

Witnesses describe the suspects as:
