$5,000 Reward Offered for the "Hoody Bandit" Bank Robber
The Financial Institutions Security Task Force (FIST) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a woman suspected of robbing as many as five banks since October. FBI Agents investigating the robberies believe the same woman has hit banks in Corvallis, Eugene, Roseburg, Salem and, most recently, Albany. They have dubbed her the "Hoody Bandit" because in four of the five cases, she wore a hooded sweatshirt. In each case, she walks into the bank, approaches a teller, and leans on the counter as she demands cash. She left each bank on foot. No weapon was displayed in any of the robberies.
The robberies include:
· 10/9/2008 - Key Bank, Eugene, Oregon
· 10/25/2008 - Washington Mutual Bank, Salem, Oregon
· 12/2/2008 - Key Bank, Corvallis, Oregon
· 1/5/2009 - Washington Mutual bank, Roseburg, Oregon
· 1/10/2009 - Wells Fargo Bank, Albany, Oregon
Witnesses describe the woman as:
Race: White or Hispanic
Age: 20's
Height: 5'6"
Build: Heavy
Hair: Brown
Clothing: Usually wears a hooded sweatshirt
