New
Sketch Released
Banks Offer $10,000 Reward in Quadruple Bank Robbery
Case
The
FBI and Eugene Police Department are releasing a new
composite sketch of a man believed to have committed
four bank robberies in Eugene. The first three robberies
were all at the same Umpqua Bank branch located at
4011 Donald Street; the fourth robbery happened on
November 24, 2008, at the Oregon Community Credit
Union located at 488 E. 11th Avenue. An existing reward
of up to $10,000 that was offered after the first
three robberies is still available for information
that leads to an arrest and conviction. The FBI and
Eugene Police Department are asking the public's help
again in an effort to generate new tips as well as
to corroborate information on an identified potential
suspect.
In all four instances, the man walked up to the exterior
drive-through teller window and demanded cash. In
each instance, he repeatedly threatened that he had
a bomb. In each case, he left the bank on foot with
an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Financial Institutions
Security Task Force (FIST) and Umpqua Bank are each
offering up to $5,000 (for a total of up to $10,000)
for information leading to an arrest and conviction
in a series of robberies at the bank and credit union.
Witnesses describe the man as:

Age: 20 - 25 years old
Height: 5' 10" - 6' 2"
Weight: About 180 pounds
Build: Medium to heavy
Hair: Black or Brown, medium length
